Description
Soo this is my first time getting back to tablet after a 4-year break. Prior to this, my poor tablet had been sitting underneath a pile of boks and papers. Uh.. comments and tips are always useful bc I'm VERY new to CG (even when I did it before, it was crappy).
I'm hoping this will turn into a full-fledge fantasy landscape, but for now, I hope you can bear with my horrible skin tone and shading and etc.!

Oh my, you're starting digital art! (well, restarting, judging by your comment ^^) I got my own tablet a few months back, and asides from several attempts I haven't really managed to complete a piece either. Hah, I absolutely know what you mean about it being so different and taking longer than traditional media. Have you tried the digitial watercolour yet? It's terrible compared to what you might be used to! 
I tried it with a trial version of the new Photoshop- all that stylus-orientating stuff just feels so strange!
I really admire what you managed to do with this little lady here. I understand how difficult it is to start shading and blending and I can tell you, you did a great job on the skin and hair. It's funny, we can almost guess at your frustration with the as-of-yet limitations of digital colour when we see the violent lines of the in-progress hair, body and background
I very much like the direction you're going in with those purplish blends; keep going, I can't wait to see this finished.
